- Reason for Being Hated: Idiot, stubborn, gets in unnesscary battles/troubles, gives away annoying speeches, ridiculously bad voice actor.
Bah, I love Dolly. She’s adorable, and she’s good in battle because she’s got a high Magic stat while having better defences than Yuzu (especially if you kit her out with Fortify).
As for her being a stubborn, self-deluded little girl, it’s worth remembering that she’s only 15 years old. She’s the youngest character in the game, so her immaturity shouldn’t be that surprising, and she does grow up and fix her ways after shit hits her in the face - and goodness, she may have been going about things in totally the wrong way, but she didn’t deserve to be nearly killed by the very people she was trying to help for it!
Besides all that, having a character like Dolly adds to DeSu’s deconstructive horror. A young teenage fangirl eagerly jumps at the call, so to speak, but then finds out the hard way that real life doesn’t work like the average magical girl anime.
